Morton Lim
Dr Morton Lim graduated in medicine in 1974 from Guy’s Hospital Medical School. He trained initially as a General Physician, but subsequently pursued a career in Anaesthesia at St. Thomas’s Hospital where he was appointed as a Consultant in 1985. He is currently Consultant Anaesthetist at Guy’s & St. Thomas’ Hospital Trust and is included on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Anaesthesia.
He was awarded an MD for research into the use of ion-selective electrodes for continuous monitoring of plasma potassium levels during cardiac surgery. He has a special interest in the postgraduate training of Anaesthetists; he was a member of the Board of Examiners of the Royal College of Anaesthetists for 14 years (1992 – 2006) and is Organiser of several Courses preparing trainee Anaesthetists for their Fellowship Examinations.
